Biography

Johannes is allegedly the son of Gerrit T. and Anna Jans Van Vechten.

In 1707, he transferred land to his three sons-in-law, Bradt, Breese, and Van Beuren.^[1]

Brother-in-law Cornelius Bogardus left his estate to Van Vechten. He says I leave to my loving brother-in-law, Johanes van Vechten, all my estate, real and personal, belonging to me or coming due to me out of the estate of my deceased father, and I make him sole executor. ^[2]
